MOSER Art Glass Large Dresser Box, Blue with Enameled Decoration, c. 1890

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a larger than normally found Art Glass dresser or powder box with beautiful deep turquoise blue glass body with thickly applied hand enameled and gilt decoration attributed to Moser, c. The lid is decorated with four enameled flowers and a gilt, jeweled design on the center top and a wide band just below the shoulder area of the bottom section. Box is banded in brass hardware and sits on three decorative feet.

Box has a tight hinge and opens and closes correctly. Measures 5 1/2" high with a 5" top diameter. Box is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some areas in the white "swag" trim below the gilded band on bottom section with enamel loss (see photos).

It appears that the top and bottom brass bands have been reset at some time. There is also wear and normally aged patina to the brass.
