Fabulous SOLID GOLD cap WATERMAN Glass cartridge. Original Box 1940's

For your consideration, an exceptional Waterman with glass cartriges dating back to the 1940's. This pen is remarkable because it has a solid gold cap (18 carats) that weighs 10 grams. Remarkable also is the original box with a vial containing a spare (full) ink cartridge. This vial was designed to be carried with the pen to have a spare cartridge safely stored in case the one in the pen runs empty.

The pen is working pefectly. The rubber seal in the pen body is in perfect condition.

The pen can therefore be used (the collectors are filling the glass cartridge with their ink of choice using a syringe or a pipette). The nib is made of 18 Cts gold (#3) and its size is "Fine".
