Handmade during the Mid Century era by a talented silversmith in Taxco, Mexico. This heavy bangle showcases three rows of glass stones, each with a bright blue-green hue meant to resemble that of turquoise. Each glass stone is accented by rounded, repousse bead designs which continue throughout the band. There is minor wear to several glass stones, and a chip from one glass, which does not affect wear.

Tarnish on the silver gives this bracelet an antique quality we believe to be quite lovely. Some tarnish can be removed using a polishing cloth. The price has been reduced to reflect this. Repoussé began as an ancient metalworking technique dating as far back as the 3rd century BC, involving malleable metal that was hammered onto the reverse side to create an image on the front. Examples are found all over the world; Greece, Egypt, and even the Hopewell periods in the American southeast. Reverse side hammering was also used to add detail to the front, creating intricate patterns using grooves, indentations, and channeling.
