Antique Victorian Opaline Glass Jewelry Casket Stand Trinket Box Palais Royal

Antique blue opaline glass jewelry casket box holder in an egg shaped with metal stand. The measurement is about 4 1/4" tall to the top of the twisted handle and 2 1/4" widest at the basket.

Without the handle is about 3 3/8 tall to the top of bird on the egg. The metal stand look ormolu / gilt bronze or brass in woven basket design. The egg is mount set in bronze hinged frame, a bird stand on top of the egg.. This piece is in great condition, no chips or cracks on the glass.

There is couple of cut lines (deep scratches) at the bottom of the egg. It is from original glass making factory flaw. A few tiny white spot also from original making.

Hinge and clasp works good. No break on the metal, very minor wear on the gilt. Most of the items that we list are antique or vintage pieces.

So expected wear is normal. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible.
